Haffner Law, a Los Angeles-based insurance and personal injury law firm, is pleased to announce the launch of a scholarship essay contest. The team at Haffner Law is committed to supporting students in their educational journeys, and we look forward to helping them accomplish their goals.
For the Fall 2018 semester, Haffner Law will select and award one scholarship winner a $1,000 academic scholarship.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must be US citizens currently enrolled in an accredited American two- or four-year university or college. There is no major or minor requirement.
How to Enter
Any student who fits the eligibility requirements above can apply for the Haffner Law scholarship. To enter, students must submit a 500- to 700-word essay on one of the following topics:
- Why is it important to protect yourself and your loved ones from unforeseen accidents and injuries?
- Have you personally experienced the benefits of being prepared for the unexpected? How did it shape your worldview?
To submit a scholarship application, email your essay as an attachment in PDF or Word format, including your full name, school you will be attending, and contact information, to haffnerscholarship@gmail.com.
Deadline for Submission
The essay submission deadline is 12:00 pm PST on May 31, 2018.
Selection Process and Notification
The Haffner Law scholarship committee will review all essays received and choose one winner for the fall 2018 academic semester. Once the winner has been determined, they will be contacted directly by Haffner Law by June 30, 2018.
Additional Details
The awarded scholarship funds are to be used for tuition and books only. Once awarded, a check will be written to the recipient’s school of choice and credited for academic costs. The scholarship is non-renewable and is only good for one semester cycle. Recipients are only eligible to receive the scholarship once during their lifetime.
